Chamber Spotlight: Brenwood Cabin Rentals, LLC and Daniel Boone Log Homes
Lynwood & Brenda Moyer joined the Chamber in May 2007 as cabin owners and Daniel Boone Log Homes and have been active members since that time. Their vacation cabins are located in Stanley. Daniel Boone Log Homes provides sales of log home kits. They have twenty-six floor plans from which to choose or they will customize.
April 19 (9 am – 3 pm) and 20 (9 am – 2 pm), they will host an Open House. Tour Log Home Models and see Log Home Building Lots. They currently have a special of 35% off standard packages until May 5, 2008. This event will be held 339 Log Cabin Drive.

Chamber takes the lead with 'Go Green' project
Tom Griffith (VA DEQ, Office of Pollution Prevention) will come to Page County and give a presentation on the “Go Green” Concept! Save the date of May 16 from 10 – Noon. (Location to be determined). Join in on a 30-minute presentation on “Go Green," as well as a Question and Answer Session.

Page County Heritage Association to publish book
Be part of history and submit photos to the Heritage Association's pictorial history of Page County, "In the Past." The deadline for photo submission is June 1. Contact President Gary Bauserman at 743-5014. All photos will be returned. The pre-publishing price for the book is $49.50 + tax.
The book will include around 200, large, beautiful glossy pictures, with highlights, and information on Page County heritage. Pick up an application at any business that exhibits the “In the Past” poster and submit to a committee member or take to Bren’s Antiques at 24 E. Main Street in downtown Luray. Apr 25: Community Meeting on Underage Drinking Prevention, 7 pm, Shenandoah Community Center. Guest speakers will share local statistics from the national Pride Youth Survey their experiences and the impact that underage drinking has on the community. Page Alliance for Community Action, Page County Public Schools, and Page County Recreation Department are collaborating with the Federal Government’s Interagency Coordinating Committee for the Prevention of Underage Drinking to sponsor this event. Parents, youth, teachers, officials, and community members are invited. Following the meeting, students 14 years old and over will be invited to stay and attend the Page County Recreation Department “Teens Night Out” – an alcohol-free night of musical entertainment.
